Brown County Hills Challenge -- Nashville, Indiana


Ride Overview

The Brown County Hills Challenge consists of 25, 40, 50 and 100 mile courses that wind along paved roads through the beautiful wooded hills of Brown County, Indiana. The ride takes place the first weekend of October. A unique feature of this ride is the ability to split the 100 mile course between Saturday and Sunday. Please note: Only the south loop will be available for riders on Sunday. The host site is CYO Camp Rancho Framasa where tent, RV, and gender-cabin camping are available on a first come first serve basis. Please see the venue page or registration form for more details. The host site also includes food for purchase for any non-riders and a Saturday evening Oktoberfest with music and fun for all ages. (The ride registration fee includes a post ride lunch on Saturday.) And of course, Nashville and Brown County State Park offer plenty of things to keep non-riders busy as well. The ride benefits the Brown County Citizens' Scholarships who's mission is to raise funds for local middle class families that are not eligible for federal or state scholarships and cannot afford to send their children to college without incurring huge debt.

For the Ride - We Provide: - Snacks and beverages at all SAG stops -Toilet facilities at all SAG stops - SAG vehicles cruising each route - All routes well marked - Traffic control at highway crossings - 911 emergency calling provisions - Free Saturday lunch at the CYO Camp Pavilion for all registered riders - Free post-ride shower facilities Schedule of Events Friday, October 2, 2010 - Check-in & Day-of Registration at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa 2230 North Clay Lick Road, Nashville, Indiana 6:00pm to 9:00pm - Registration includes tent/RV camping and cabin rental reservations on a first come first server basis Saturday, October 3, 2010 - Check-in & Day-of Registration at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa 2230 North Clay Lick Road, Nashville, Indiana 6:30am to 10:00am - 100 milers must register by 8:00am - Registration includes tent/RV camping and cabin rental reservations on a first come first server basis - Free lunch for riders at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa 11:00am - 4:00pm - Saturday Oktoberfest free admission for registered riders $5.00 for non-riders Sunday, October 4, 2010 - Registration on Sunday is not available - Sunday must leave by 8am for 50 mile route - SAG stops at noon & there is no lunch available Sunday Ride Schedule - 100 mile riders - first 50 starts at 7:00am - North route first - 100 mile riders second 50 continues on South route from CYO Camp Special Note to 100 mile riders: High carbohydrate snacks provided at CYO Pavilion for 100 milers after first 50 miles has been completed - 50 milers have leisure start traveling the designated North route - 25 and 40 mile riders have leisure starts taking the designated routes Free Saturday lunch served at CYO Camp Pavilion 11:00am - 4:00pm Special Note to All Riders: - SAG support and SAG vehicle support ends at 4:00pm Saturday.
